Apply now Orka Financial is working with an exciting retail business based in High Wycombe to recruit a Commercial Controller. This is a very exciting role that will see the successful candidate manage a team of two management accountants, whilst taking responsibility for all budgeting, forecasting, preparation of the monthly board pack including all relevant commentary and business partnering. This will be a fast paced and varied role within this growing business. The Role The Commercial Controller will head up the management accounting team and act as the bridge between finance and the wider business. The role will see the successful candidate manage a team of two management accounts whilst maintaining a hands on approach during the month end period to produce the reporting packs. The Business Reporting & Budgeting Manager will also be responsible for all budgeting and forecasting and will act as a business partner to all senior stakeholders throughout the business. This role will also support the FD when necessary on any ad hoc projects. Responsibilities:• Take the lead on Budgeting and forecasting• Manage the management accounting team of two• Build and maintain a strong relationship between finance and the wider business• Implement and develop reporting methods to communicate relevant management information• Work alongside the FD on ad hoc projects• Stakeholder management• Maintain on hands on approach at month end• Oversee and assist in the production of the management accounts and add all relevant commentary• Encourage and support innovation throughout the Business• Produce monthly reporting packs Profile:• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)• Proven track record partnering with non-finance• Strong excel and systems skills• Desire to improve processes and implement change• Thorough practical understanding and application of Management Accounting principles and techniques• Hands on experience of Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting and producing Management Information• High degree of communication skills, with both Finance and non-finance professionals• Ability to understand the detail as well as the bigger picture Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
