To comply with all other Action for Children policies, standards and procedures.To ensure a variety of food is readily available to service users taking into account dietary and cultural requirements.To ensure that the food temperatures are recorded before consumption and that the fridge freezer temperatures are recorded and monitored.To have responsibility for maintaining, replenishing and rotating the correct food stock levels, keeping wastage to a minimum and managing a budget for purchasing and ordering stock.To ensure that kitchen equipment is cleaned on a regular basis, and to maintain a tidy, clean and hygienic area at the end of each day.To develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and service users.To understand and have a commitment to working within relevant Health and Safety legislation, and to report any defective or dangerous equipment immediately to the Manager.To undertake essential training required for the position and participate effectively in supervision, team meetings and appraisal.To ensure that security is maintained at all times and that the safety of service users is paramount.
