Apply now A CNC Programmer / CNC Turner is required for a well established engineering company based in Redditch. Permanent contract paying up to £15 p/h for the right person, working 38hrs p/w from 8am - 4:45pm Mon to Thurs, with a 1pm finish on Friday The company Trading for nearly 50 years, the company offers complete supply or specific subcontract machining to suit each customers needs. With the use of both CNC and manual machining, they provide all types of services from refurbishment, prototype parts, small batch components and one off tool / jig repairs for all types of industries. Small family run business with great staff retention, this role is replacing someone who is retiring in the next few weeks.The Role Duties and responsibilities include - Read, interpret and and understand technical engineering drawings from customersReverse Engineer, analyse samples and produce new technical drawings from the sampleUse CAD / CAM software to create and write accurate programmesWrite programmes into the Alpha CNC Lathe with FANUC and conversational languageSet up, prove out and run all types of 1 off, prototypes and small batch workSetting and operating 3 axis Machining Centres when requiredFirst off and final quality inspections to extremely close tolerances using measuring equipmentEnsure all machines, workshop and tooling areas are kept clean and tidy The Suitable candidateThe CNC Programmer / CNC Turner will have the following demonstrable skills Previous experience creating, writing and editing of CNC ProgrammesKnowledge and experience of CAD CAM software, including design and programme applicationStrong knowledge of running CNC Turning Lathes, use of CNC Millers is ideal but not essentialAbility to maintain tools and equipment used effectivelyTroubleshoot, problem solve and rectify any production issues Working hours are 38hrs per week 8am - 4:45pm Mon to Thurs, with a 1pm Finish on FridayHalf hour lunch per day, and a 15min break in the morningRate of pay is up to £15 p/h for the ideal candidate, and is negotiable dependent on experience30 days holiday including 8 bank holidays Position is a permanent contract, with a 3 month probationary period to be completed Please note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
