Apply on employer's website We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer at MTR Crossrail. As a Buyer your main responsibilities will be to manage procurement sourcing activities, contracts and supplier relationships supporting the stakeholders along the process from the requirements identification to the daily monitoring of the supplier performance. Key responsibilities: Lead the management of suppliers for assigned categories, including monitoring the performance of the supplier and supporting the contract owners. Develop and implement category plan in collaboration with the stakeholders. Manage all the sourcing activities for the assigned categories and any large tenders including the negotiation of the contract terms and conditions. Act as advisor to internal customers and suppliers for the organisation procurement activity. Plan and identify sourcing activities autonomously in line with the business requirements and contract management, ensuring that all the requirements are captured and delivered. Produce regular management reports on the procurement activities. To be considered for this role you must have a proven track record of a minimum of 2-year experience in procurement in a similar role, and be qualified with a degree, at A-level minimum, Bachelor (preferable) or CIPS (any level). The right candidate requires excellent communication, professional, collaborative and influencing skills, with analytical and strong Microsoft Office package competencies. Experience of working with an e-procurement system will be an advantage. Past experiences in managing indirect sourcing events or contracts (Professional Services, construction as a plus) is preferable for the role.
