Apply now A leading legal firm is looking for a BD Executive to work closely with fee earners across the Financial Institutions and Asset Management & Investment Funds sectors to deliver incisive and value-added marketing and business development support ensuring key objectives in the BD plans are achieved. The job will enable the candidate to work in an international environment, in a busy area of the business where the firm is looking for someone that works well under pressure and delivers to deadlines. Specific tasks will include supporting the development of new product offerings, working with partners to define the benefits of the new products and the most effective routes to market and marketing & BD planning and budgeting. You will contribute to the formulation of the sector's internal and external communications strategies and then implement accordingly, ensuring best practice is observed. The BD Executive will be responsible for strengthening the firm's reputation across the FI and AMIF sectors through the identification of speaking, advertising and media opportunities and will oversee the project management of directory and award submissions and develop high quality written content. Assisting sector fee earners with sector specific tenders, including conducting a bid no bid process, managing the logistics of the pitch process for any assigned pitches, gathering relevant material and information and writing formal responses will constitute an important part of this role. On the client development side, you will be tasked with managing and developing both strategic and priority clients. You will have marketing or BD experience in a professional services firm or relevant sector, preferably with a university degree in business, marketing or a related area and a professional marketing qualification. The BD Executive will also have strong knowledge of the legal industry, with experience in Financial Institutions or Asset Management being an advantage. You will be capable of managing and implementing marketing and BD tasks with a low level of supervision and competently running pitches. Familiarity with CRM systems, document management systems, intranets, websites and experience in social media, PR and online services would be an advantage.
