Apply now ASSISTANT MANAGER Our Client is looking for an energetic, sales motivated assistant store manager to support the manager in all aspects of running the store and growing the business. The ideal candidate will be target driven with good sales skills and the desire to learn. They will be involved in the customer's service, local marketing and general administration and maintenance tasks. You will provide the highest standards of customer service and take a business approach to maximising profitability. Having gained experience at a similar level in the retail or sales sectors, you will have a proven track record in sales, be confident you can meet targets and inspire your team to exceed expectations. You will also be computer literate and possess strong selling and communication skills. The Assistant Manager will take a customer focused and commercial approach in the running of the facility with the ultimate aim of improving the store performance by maximising turnover and profits. PROFILE The successful candidate: Business /commercial awareness with a sales & marketing backgroundExperience of managing customer relationshipsProven ability to perform in a fast-paced demanding environment with minimal supervision.Self driven, passionate and committed to excel above expectationsWill have had some experience in a sales roleResponsible for assisting delivery of sales target resultsbe very flexible, willing to travelbe prepared to work on Saturdays RESPONSIBILITIES Sales and Customer Service Responsible for the conversion of prospects into customers and actively promote the sale of add on productsTo actively promote the sale of merchandiseAssists the BM in identifying ways to improve business performanceTo promote the services of both the Store and the companyTo ensure that all customers (both in person and on the telephone) are greeted and approached in accordance with the Company StandardsTo ensure that all customer enquiries are captured and followed up with the appropriate timely actionTo ensure that all customers visiting the Store use the correct sign in and visiting procedureTo ensure that all customers are handled in a calm and professional manner Store Presentation To ensure that the company equipment is fit for its purpose and to report any equipment which is in need of attention..To report any maintenance required at the store via appropriate channels and in a timely manner, this may include undertaking minor repairs where necessaryTo maintain the highest possible level of cleanliness and presentation of the store to include all internal and external areasAccountable for the presentation of packaging materials etc. to generate increased sales and enhance the reception/retail area General To attend company meetings and actively participate in the development of company policies and proceduresTo ensure all Health & Safety standards fully implemented within the storesResponsible for the accurate completion of company policies and proceduresResponsible for organising work of self, managing information, decision making, planning and prioritising to achieve business results ensuring all deadlines are metTo continually review own performance and requests feedback whilst seeking opportunities to take on new learningTo respond to any other reasonable administration request made by Head Office in a timely and professional manner Competencies Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced demanding environment with minimal supervision.Self driven, passionate and committed to excel above expectationsResponsible for assisting in the creative thinking and ideas generation for tactical local marketing activitiesAbility to plan and organise and prioritise workloadsExcellent communication skillsShows a high standard ability for salesIs target driven and always strives to succeed
