Apply now A leading, multifaceted financial company is currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to join their team. The candidate will assist with the management and maintenance of business applications managed by IT Services, third line engineers and other members of the Application and Infrastructure teams within IT Services. Main Responsibilities To assist with the technical and administration support for the successful operations of key business systemsTo work closely with other members of the application and infrastructure support teams to ensure a good knowledge of business systems is maintainedEngage directly with the Applications SQL Database Administrator to ensure business application services are managed to best practice standardsTo learn how key application issues raised through the Service Desk are progressed and to understand how call handling meets the agreed SLATo create and maintain technical documentation as required and publish them to the staff as relevant Competencies An understanding of the following is essential: Microsoft SQL, and Applications FrameworksApache Tomcat, WordPress, Java/Javascript, HTML Microsoft Active Directory Alfresco Content Management server or similar systemsVMware Virtual Server and Thin Client (RDS) technology Knowledge & experience Experience of working in a customer-focused IT environment ideally within Professional or Financial services.At least 3 years knowledge of Microsoft applications, document management (workflow) and database technology deployed in a client server environment on both Thin Client (RDS) and PC platforms.
