An 18-month interim opportunity exists for an experienced accountant to join the team as an Accounting Manager within the Financial Shared Services centre. With a remit to provide financial accounting and reporting support to 4 trading entities based in the UK, US and Middle East, a broad and varied brief includes: •Managing financial month end close to ensure general ledger activity including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments & intercompany processes are completed•Preparing monthly reporting packs with analysis & commentary for each entity under UK GAAP.•Reviewing balance sheet reconciliation. •Managing the preparation of statutory accounts by outsourced providers•Ensuring completion of VAT & local sales tax returns, local government statutory & statistical reporting •Preparing information packs for external audit & audit process management You will demonstrate strong financial accounting and reporting experience gained within an international blue-chip environment, an eye for detail, strong Excel skills and ideally some exposure to Peoplesoft. The role demands a hands-on attitude, a deadline focus and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment. Immediate start available.
