Apply now Toolmaker / Smethwick / £11.32 per hour We are currently recruiting for a toolmaker to work for a manufacturing company based in Smethwick. You will be responsible for manufacturing new, and servicing / repairing existing, fine blanking tools, utilising appropriate machinery, plant and other equipment. The role is working a three-shift pattern, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am. You must have considerable toolmaking experience, with a number of years of your career spent within heavy manufacturing. The skills, responsibilities and tasks you will be required to undertake include; Manufacture tooling elements to exact tolerances and the required qualityLiaise with production and contribute to the resolution of tooling issuesOperate machinery and work in a manner that complies with health & safety requirementsPrioritising your own work loadEnsuring that all necessary records are produced and maintained. The role is working three shifts rotating, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am. The rates of pay are different for each shift, working out to an average hourly rate of £11.32 covering mornings, afternoons and nights.
