What you'll be doing each day: Recruitment1. To develop a quarterly proactive and cost effective resourcing plan based oncurrent and future business needs.2. Actively manage Head count and Labour costs against budget, through an effectiveauthorization and recruitment process.3. To pro-actively drive all recruitment activity in liaison with Executive Committee, GroupHR Director and Heads of Department in order to ensure departmental effectiveness.4. To continuously review and develop our recruitment and selection methods to ensurethey are aligned to our business strategy and culture through techniques such asBehavioural Interviews.5. To create a talent bank of high quality candidates in line with our Human ResourcesPlanning.6. To actively develop Heads of Department in best practice selection methods ensuringconsistency in process and all candidates recruited are of the highest calibre.7. To establish relationships with recruitment partners, such as colleges, universities andlocal communities, in order to promote current and future opportunities at the company8. To continuously review our recruitment channels ensuring that they are attracting thecalibre of candidate expected in an efficient manner to meet departmental needs. Learning and Development1. To drive and develop a robust and effective 90-day induction programme for newstarters.2. To devise and communicate an Annual Training Programme incorporating Induction,compliance and industry specific training to ensure all employees have the knowledge,skills and experience to carry out their role.3. To review all training delivery on an annual basis and perform a gap analysis to identifyadditional training requirements alongside compulsory schemes, such as the Apprenticeship Levy, to ensure we continue to add value to the business throughtraining delivery and employee development.4. Create individual development plans based on development needs as identified throughthe Performance Appraisal process. Reward and Benefits1. To continuously review our remuneration packages in line with the market and ouraspirations to be the market leader in the industries we operate in. Completed throughactivities such as carrying out salary surveys, reviewing market reports andbenchmarking accordingly.2. To review the competitiveness of our benefits package and terms and conditions ofemployment in line with market trends and key competitors.3. To support the Group HR Director in reviewing benefits schemes in places, such asPrivate Health Insurance, to support the on-going health and wellbeing of ouremployees.4. Administer the Annual Reward Scheme.5. To continuously review our reward and recognition programmes to ensure they arealigned to company strategy and rewarding outstanding employee and teamperformance. Employee Relations1. In conjunction with the Group HR Director ensuring all policies and procedures are upto-date and in-line with current employment law.2. To ensure all managers are up-to-date with all policies and procedures and coached inthe consistent and fair delivery to all employees.3. To advise and support Heads of Department and Executive Committee in dealingwith employee relations cases, using HR knowledge, best practice and companyprecedent to ensure appropriate decisions and solutions are found in the best interestsof employees and the business. This includes supporting the handling of cases such asdisciplinary, grievance, performance management, flexible working and so on.4. To support current and future business needs through the development, engagement,motivation and retention of key talent across the business.5. To review HR metrics and analyse areas where additional HR support and focus isrequired. This includes metrics such as labour turnover, headcount vs budget, absencestatistics and so on.6. To implement a Performance Management framework designed to review employeeperformance alongside our core competencies and company strategy through bi-annualperformance reviews, in addition to regular one-to-one and team meetings.
